UNet Shooting Projectiles easy method?
I started making an fps game with the plan to eventually add multiplayer after getting all the movement and shooting mechanics down. Now that I have done that I have realised that I should have built it with networking to start with.
I followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FD9HZB0Jn1w
And now I am stuck as to how to make this work on the network. I don't know how to create the bullet on the server.
Basically, I create a bullet in the script and give it velocity. How do I do this on the server so other players actually see the bullet? I have movement and everything set up but when I shoot there is no bullet for the other players and vice versa.
This is probably an annoying question but I have no idea. Please help!
Don't take my word for granted as I am not an expert in UNET but I believe I got it working once awhile ago using [Command] above the code when you shoot the bullet or maybe register the bullet as a spawnable prefab in the network manager(?).
