Everything is too bright
I'm more new to unity and I'm trying to learn how to use lighting. I've made a scene completely, but in all my scenes I seem to start out with a much brighter picture than anyone I can find. This is UDP with default settings and no lights (both in and out of buildings). Everything is very washed out and way, way too bright. What should I do to get my remove this?

That should be due to your skybox providing it's "natural" light.
Go to the top tabs, window -> rendering -> lighting. Then open the second tab ("Environment"). Change either the skybox material, or playaround with the "environment lighting" stuff, especially the intensity multiplier.
Best luck!
This is what was the issue. I figured it was just one of the settings in there, but it was a combination. The main one that tripped me up was changing the color of shadows to black. Thank you
No problem - I ran into the issue as well and it took me hours to figure it out. "Why the f* is everything still lighting up?!" xD
Oh, any you can hover over my answer and mark it as correct - that way, other people finding this will have an easier navigation, and I will get internet points xD
