Is it possible to make a game launcher that fetches updates via github pages?

I know that GitHub Pages makes a static website, but if I uploaded a file stating the latest version, had my launcher (preferablly made in unity) grab the updates if the current version isnt new, then get the game files from the github pages site?

I know it will be hard, but I just want to know if it is possible, IF it is easy, could you tell me how?

I would like help on it either way though. Thanks :)
