Applying Force to the Character
So I'm working with a game mechanic involving a lot of physics. Currently, with a simple raycast shoot, I'm able to push objects away from my character. What I'd like to do next is have the game check if the object I'm pushing is against a surface (floor, wall, or ceiling), and if I'm pushing in the direction of the surface it's against, apply force to my character and move it away from the object I'm pushing. I can clarify what I mean if needed, but this is an essential part of getting this mechanic how I want it as it also serves as how the character will "fly". Thank you in advance to anybody that can help me out!
