SporeCreatures-to-Unity-Tutorial
updated 19.07.2011 with all links of this thread and from where can I find artmodel assets for my game?
http://3docean.net/ Great resource of free and paid 3d models, also http://audiojungle.net/ for Audio needs.
First, http://3dmagicmodels.com/ is listed twice, this site is Free/Paid.
I tested all Free and Free/Paid sites. In most cases you need external tools for importing some files like .blend and .max extensions. Rarely you find animations. $$anonymous$$y favorite for free content is Asset Store that the models are already imported to Unity and have better variety.
Of the Free, only
Have 3D models
Http://gshelper.com has art and music assets that can work for any sdk. Not just GameSalad.

Someone should copy all the links from this thread into here, since this was marked as a community wiki post:
http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/509/where-can-i-find-art-models-assets-for-my-games
It would also be a good idea to separate the sites into categories like "Free", "Free/Paid", "Paid".
Oh thanks, I'd been looking and hadn't found that. I'm sure there are more than that though. I've added all of those links. I can just edit your post and add them there if people think it is better to have the list in an answer, and yes categories are a good idea, I can work on sorting them out later tonight if nobody else does it.
The first post typically matters the most in a community wiki answer, not the answers. :P And thanks for adding the link list, it looks great. You get my upvote. :)

Great resource.
I would suggest splitting the resources into categories for Art (perhaps subcategories for 3D models, sprites, textures, etc.), audio, etc.
(Site names made up)
Art
3d Models
www.3dmodels.com - F
Textures
www.gametextures.com- F/P
Sprites
Audio
There are already other posts about audio assets, search the Wiki. No need to duplicate answers/information.
You list audio as a possibility in your question. Also, if you aren't going to include audio, I'm saying it would be beneficial to split up the different types of art (textures, 2d sprites, 3d models, etc).

I found this site: bunbun.com.au. It allows you to view 3D models online in 3D using Unity Web Player. I think it's nice that it has all the 3D models in .unitypackage too.
