Accurate but fast car reflections on mobile
I saw a tutorial on how to use baked reflection probe on moving objects where multiple baked probes are setup along a players path in a small world, but that's the problem. That tutorial was handy ONLY for smaller scale worlds. I can't think of many other scenarios on the top of my head now, but as far as trying to incorporate this method in my mobile racing game project with a massive open world and road network, there either have to be way too many baked reflection probes with merging bounding boxes placed in one scene for accurate car reflections to work (resulting in too much memory consumption), or there has to be one real-time reflection probe attached to the car (Accurate but too slow and buggy). Real-time probes still don't work as intended on this platform even today, with only hollow reflections being produced. Hence I'm having a hard time coming up with a proper solution for close-to-accurate car reflections on mobile. Any Input on this?
