True Newbie; where to proceed
Hello, I realize that questions like this has probably already been asked but frankly, I'm overwhelmed and don't know where to search or what to query for continuing useful answers.
I've had a few game ideas for a while and want to bring them to life - or try. I'm a professional software engineer and have good computer science knowledge.
I've heard about Unity through a friend and it seems perfect for my goals.
The problem is is I truly don't know how to proceed. I've followed a couple of tutorials and they taught me good info for unity but is a long way from "get going" information.
I realize that learning how to truly utilize Unity is going to be months of learning but there must be "more" out there.
I guess I have two challenges. I need to learn how to make games and I need to learn the details of unity. Additionally, I've concluded I need to learn a few things about 3d modeling (blender).
So, assuming no prior knowledge with unity, game engines or game development, how should I proceed? Are there online classes I can take? I'm willing to invest in quality guided materials...
Thank you.
