Unity won't start?
So, I'm new to Unity completely, last night I installed Unity, and got it to work once for like an hour, then when I tried to start it up again, it got stuck on the little startup window.
And I've left it on the start window for 20 minutes and nothing happened.
And I'm calling this the startup window because I don't know what to call it.
And just due to wanting to get rid of a lot of possible issues, I factory reset my computer, and it still does the same thing.
I'm at a loss, so I'll link all pertinent information here, and hopefully someone out there can glean something from all of this. Thank you all so much for your time.
I'm using Unity 5.5.0 and Windows 10 Home 64 bit
Here's my PC's specs:
Intel Core i5-4960K 3.50GHz
8 GB RAM
Power Color R7 250 2G GDDR3
Here's the crash dump:

Here's a list of all of the programs installed right now:
AVG Firefox Steam Unity Adobe Creative Cloud 2017
Photoshop
Premiere Pro
Animate
Audition
Media Encoder
When you reset your computer, did you have to create a new user or were you able to use your last user account still?
Hrmm, thats very odd indeed. Is it possible that AVG is blocking it? 5.5.0 does request to visit the internet. Try making a test user, and accessing unity from there.
It worked! AVG was giving me the grief! THAN$$anonymous$$ YOU SO SO $$anonymous$$UCH, AGENTC0R$$anonymous$$
NP. If you have a sec, I'll post it as the answer if you'll accept it. :D

The working solution in this situation was to disable and/or set a rule in AVG to stop blocking unity from running.
