How to create an in game search engine? And how to select the searched object?
Hi Everyone, I hope are well. I believe there was some error with my previous question, so I am reposting it. I was wondering if someone could explain how to create a search function within my game. I've read that GameObject.Find is one way but I was wondering how to write that code and attach it to my input field UI? For example, let's say my game includes my home. I would like to search for the Master Bedroom (GameObject) in a search bar (Input Field UI). As I press enter, I would like it to highlight my Master Bedroom and slightly hide the rest of the rooms OR select the object. I hope this makes sense and framed it better than the previous question. I really would appreciate someone's help. Thank you
