Why does importing a mesh create a parent.
Hi, I'm new to unity and I would like to know why these 2 things happen when I try to put a mesh from the project asset into the game.
-When I drag a .FBX onto the scene, for exemple a .FBX named (Cube) it will create a parent folder name cube and put automatically put a cube, a camera and a lamp each time I use it, That gave me problem because I tried to make a world generation and it created 300 instance of the parent and I couldn't change the color because since my prefab was "the folder itself" when I tried to change color it was not changing the cube material color inside the folder.
-So I realise that maybe .FBX came with that package and so I tried with a .OBJ and It still made the folder up except it only had "default" (the mesh) in it. How can I remove the automatic folder making when I try to bring a mesh into the game. To save my problem I made a prefab out of the default mesh but that's annoying.
