iTween Unknown Identiflier
Hi Guys,
I'm accessing the component from a C# and I read that there's some complie order weirdness when trying to access a JavaScript component from a C# so I have to put my .js file under the Assets/Standard Assets/ folder but because of this I got the BCE0005: Unknown identifier: 'iTween'..
I tired moving the iTween to the plugins folder etc but no luck.
any idea?
This seems to be an old question with new interest, so @Irishsun530 are you positive the error you are receiving is related to compile order? I have used iTween.cs from both C# and JS files with no problems. $$anonymous$$y scripts were anywhere I wanted (usually in Assets/Scripts or so) and iTween.cs was under Assets/Plugins.
@DannyB I'm honestly not even sure it is the same problem.
I just heard about iTween the other day. Went to the asset store. Downloaded/installed it. Went back to unity (following instructions from someone's site). They said under component there was to be iTween then the option to switch it to JS.
Under component, then script for me is iTween. All of it is done in CS for me. I read that somewhere creating a Plugins folder then taking the iTween.cs script was supposed to fix it. Sadly it did not.
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I have the most up to date Unity file.
Any idea why this is occurring or rather what I may be doing wrong?
Start from scratch so you can better understand where your problem is. Create an empty new project, then drag your iTween folder as is to the project. Inside the iTween folder, there is a sample scene called "Sample". Double click it to switch to it, and press Play, see if it plays.
In case you are getting warning messages "The referenced script on this Behaviour is missing!", select one of the cubes in the scene, and in its inspector panel, scroll down to the $$anonymous$$ono Behavior component, and then drag one of the scripts in the Sample folder to it (either RotateSample or $$anonymous$$oveSample).
Do the same with the other cube, then run it.
This should now work, and you should have a working sample of how to call iTween from Javascript (view the two sample scripts). It is quite the same from C#.
HTH.
