i need help in an interactive 3D model
dear unity community,
hey, i'm fairly new to this whole modeling process, but i'd very much like to learn it. i'll try to make it clear and simple, i'm trying to make a 3 D model of a brain that rotates in all directions, that also has the option to click on different parts of the brain,(which gets highlighted) to receive info about that part, in for example, a small text box near the model. i tried messing around with unity and for now i noticed that you're able to control whatever you place in there using java script. my problem is i have no idea how to make the basic model, or how to import it.
i think by maybe giving me a link to a similar problem or maybe even a link to video that explains how to do so would be great help. i can also follow steps if you were kind enough to post it as a reply. i'm trying to learn how to do the model but i have no idea what so ever on how to even start, any help would be appreciated. p.s: i'm making this for a school project so it doesn't have to be a top notch model, just a simple 3 d model that rotates and interacts to give specific information.
Unity isn't a 3D modelling program, so this question doesn't really belong here. 3D modelling has a pretty intensive learning curve. But then again, so does Unity. Start with Blender. http://www.blender.org/ And here's a site which might have a model you can start from. http://www.blendswap.com/ Then there's always google 3d warehouse. $$anonymous$$ight even be a brain model in the Unity Asset Store.
