Version 4.2.0f4 added new android permissions
Hello, I have tried looking for a solution to this but I can't find it. Sorry if it's been asked before.
I believe that the newest version of unity3D has added new permissions to my android game. Some users liked that my game required NO permissions at all, but now after fixing a bug and uploading the new APK to the market, it tells me that there are 6 new permissions. And a new feature (WIFI use) Why did this happen? I don't use internet at all in my game, I don't save files, I don't read files, I don't do anything. Can anyone help me go back to no permissions please?
I'm not 100% that the new version of unity did this, but I can't find any other explanation.
Create an eclipse project through Unity, then open it in eclipse. Then you will need to modify the permissions (uses-permission tags) in the Android$$anonymous$$anifest.xml file. (In your case, remove them). You might want to test this though to make sure nothing has actually changed in terms of the requirements.
Thank you. That's what I've been trying to do, haven't finished yet. I would still like to know the root of the problem. Having to do all these extra steps that I didn't have to do before is not ideal.
