How do you generate a circle terrain mesh
So I was checking out a couple of videos on youtube about procedural terrain generation: Part 1 Part 2. That's when I thought it might be possible to mess around with this code using the triangles and vertices to generate a circular terrain. I figure it won't be a perfect circle but it'd be more rounded as you can only go from vertex to vertex.
My question is how do I go about it? I can't figure out the math for it. And how would I go about picking a certain radius in the generated mesh (has nothing to do with the circular terrain), inverse it then use Perlin noise to make a bumpy, mountain-like terrain around it? So it would be a flat surface surrounded by mountains or small bumps/hills w/e.
