How to let objects pass through colliders while still recognising collision?
I'm trying to set up checkpoints for a racing game, and am using invisible cubes with colliders on them. when I turn on "Is trigger", the car passes through but no collision is recognised. Though when "is trigger" is off, it recognises the collision but the car still crashes into it. How can i achieve the middle-ground of passing through it while still triggering a collision?

You don't use OnCollisionEnter/OnCollisionStay with IsTrigger, you use OnTriggerEnter/OnTriggerStay.
