How to play video in Unity Free on Android (may be using external open source libraries)
Hi! I need to play video file in my game and I am using Unity Free. The solution with rendering images with a certain delay is not suitable for me, because my video file is made from over than 300 images. The size of the video clip is 7 Mb, but the size of all images is more than 450 Mb. This not suitable for me to add all these images into my game))). I was thinking about using ffmpeg. The basic idea is: 1. Open video using ffmpeg 2. Decode each video frame into image. 3. Render image in Unity into a texture.
I have read somewhere that we can use ffmpeg with C#, but will it work on Android? Because the target platform for my game is Android.
Can anyone give me some advices how to do this, may be some tutorials? Or may be there are other open source libraries, which can decode video in Unity and work on Android? Thanks in advance!
