How to create a Mesh from a NavMesh?
How can I create a Mesh from a NavMesh, so that it can be used in a Mesh Collider? That is, the Mesh is to have the same form as the NavMesh, but be of type Mesh.
In the Adventure Game Tutorial, part 1 The Player, a component of type Mesh Collider is placed on the object Security Room in scene SecurityRoom (27:20 minutes into the lecture).
The Mesh Collider has an input field that requires a Mesh. In the tutorial, a pre-made Mesh named SecurityRoomMeshCollider (residing in Assets/Models) is used. This Mesh seems to have the same form as the NavMesh that was created earlier in the lecture (19 min). This also seems reasonable, since the NavMesh defines where the avatar can go and the Mesh (in this case) defines where the player can request that the avatar goes. This is also what I think I need.
But the tutorial does not describe how to create a Mesh that has the same form as the NamMesh. Neither have I been able to find such a description in the Unity documentation.
Creating a Mesh that can be used in the Mesh Collider is a necessary step when creating a different game of the type that is described in this tutorial.
