Text on grid games
I am building a grid based game and everywhere I read people are suggesting that I should use one unit per tile or cell in the grid. However, I then want to display the cell coordinates in the top left of a cell, but I can't get any text to look right.
I've tried UI Text, TextMesh and TextMeshPro. The only way I've been able to get text the size I want is via scaling the canvas it's in or scaling the text itself. Doing that though the text is extremely pixelated and unreadable.
How can I display the text clearly in a single unit in Unity?
