Flail Chain Physics in 3D
I'm trying to make a flail with realistic chain physics, I tried using Character Joints and Hinge Joints but both just glitch the entire chain in some weird way like this: I read a lot of how to do this but nothing works, some places say parent the chain objects and others say that's exactly what causes the glitching, some places say that it will always glitch unless you change your project timestep to 0.006 - 0.003. I tried adding capsule colliders to each chain object but that just resulted in the chain not moving at all. I'm honestly really confused about all of this. Just to be clear, each chain piece is a separate object and they are all connected to each other:
Anyone know how to resolve this glitching and get a proper chain effect? Something like this.

Did you manage? trying to make one myself
No, messed with it for a couple days and couldn't figure it out. I saw some examples of working chain physics in unity but couldn't find out how they managed to do it. Overall it was too confusing and nothing ended up working. Sorry I can't be of more help.
