Random Artifacts Appearing On 2D Text

I've experiencing some random artifacts on some 2D text using the new UI system. The canvas is on World Space mode as I would like to have the angled UI asthetic.

Here are examples of the issue:

The same thing happens on all font rendering modes and with default fonts like Ariel and Trebuchet MS. All of the solutions posted on the forums a regarding problems similar to this haven't helped and I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious...
