Animator, can't rename my parameters.
I'm having the same error that this user encountered, but the solution does not work for me.
If I try to rename my parameters anything they just revert to their default name after I open a new transition from one block to the next; for example I rename a bool to "open" and when I add a transition it automatically changes to New Bool.
Renaming the parameter while the transition is already linked will just give me the, "Parameter does not exist in controller" error.
Thanks for taking the time out to read this.

I found the solution. Although I do not know what caused it, I was on Unity Version 2020.1.0b2 and reverted to 2019.2.16f1. Reverting back to the 2019 version fixed the issue.
