Game Object not Showing Up Outside of Canvas
Hey I'm VERY new to unity and have been watching video tutorials but I can't figure this one thing out. When I create a game object outside of a canvas, the game object doesn't show up, even if it has an image as a component. Moving an object inside of a canvas (on the hierarchy on the left of the screen) makes the object suddenly show up, but moving it outside of the canvas on the hierarchy turns it invisible again. I can select it and drag it around, but it doesn't appear to have an image component (though it does). I looked for answers online and all I could find was people who had the layers tab set to something random, but mine correctly displays everything, so that isn't it. I'm pretty sure this isn't a bug but rather me misunderstanding something very basic about unity, but I can't find the answer. Please help!
