unity android builds successfully but the game crashes on android with error pop up "ERROR: FAILED TO LOAD Il2CPP".

Question

I have an apk build for android using Unity 2019.2.4f1, NDK version r16b, ... The build succeeds and the apk is also able to get installed on my android device , Samsung Galaxy c-7000, But when i start the app, it gives following error and crashes...

ERROR: FAILED TO LOAD Il2CPP.

Please help identifying and removing the issue here. Thanks.

I had the same problem. Changed to .NET 4.x and the problem solved! Unity Ver 2019.4.5f1
