Particles not showing in second camera
I have two cameras in my scene. The first camera renders the main scene. The second camera renders to a RenderTexture which I display in a GUI.Box. Everything works fine except that in my second camera particles don't get rendered. The same particles render fine in the main scene.
Any ideas why this might be happening?
Unity Pro 3.4.2 on Mac,
iOS target build.
Are your particles on a layer that the second camera is rendering? You mark that your target build is iOS - have you tried it on the $$anonymous$$ac? Does it only not work when built, or do you see the same problem in the editor?
Also, just FYI, the Unity folks are completely changing around the way particle systems are done in 3.5 with 'Shuriken.' The beta is now open, so you may want to grab it and take a look at the documentation: http://unity3d.com/unity/preview/
I've tried putting everything the second camera is supposed to render on a separate layer, then set the culling mask on the second camera. That did not help. The particles show up in the camera preview in the editor but do not show up when the game is run in the editor. They also do not show up on the iPhone. If I use GUI.DrawTexture the particles show up but then I have another problem, the background isn't transparent.
