[2d Top Down Shooter] Duststorm and visiblity
Hi,
Thanks for reading. I'm considering adding a dust storm feature to my game, which will periodically obscure parts of the level which aren't in the player's sight (likely a cone or triangle of around 60 degrees). The player is at y=0, and I've set up a box dust particle generator at y=1, which creates particles that move across the map.
The part I'm struggling with is the cone/triangle of sight. There are no obstacles on the map, so I would just have to cut a triangle out of the particles above the player. Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction?
