Threaded procedural animation
Hi, I need to do a procedural animation (in 2d so I was thinking using the GUI) while performing some computing, the animation serving as an "entertainment" during the process. I am not even sure if threading is the mean to achieve this, but for now I'm stuck on trying to have my two seperate threads to run at the same time.
Currently, I can start either one thread without the other and get my result. But when I launch both, the heavy computation freezes the screen until the result is displayed. I have done thurough researches trying to make it work but I am running a bit out of time and need help on how to make the thing work - with or without threading.
Your computation isn't using the Unity API I presume (as that isn't allowed). You can set the thread priority of your background thread if you want, it would be wise to not do much in the Unity thread.
Not using the Unity API would mean not having the using UnityEngine right?
You can include it, just not call anything in it. this post shows me doing multithreaded stuff using my Loom class which is included in the download. $$anonymous$$ight be useful.
1) What computations are you doing
2) How long does it take
3) What is the animation?
4) How are you animating it?
