Adding Animation: Combining Scripts
Hello!
I've given this quite an attempt, but I'm very inexperienced. I followed the Sneaking tutorial to set up my character's animator, but I want to use the standard asset, "FPSInput Controller" instead of the one provided in that lesson. Furthermore, I've downloaded the "Toon Character Pack" and want to use it for my player/animations instead of the "Ethan" character.
I've managed to get my character to move the way I want but I've got two problems: First, it refuses to enter any other animation state except "idle". Second, it floats above the ground slightly.
I am literally only concerned in having my character enter a "Run" animation when I move in any direction; I don't need to get fancy with blend trees. Moreover, when I turn off the animator attached to the player object, he will (obviously) no longer animate, but resumes a perfect place on the ground which leads me to believe there is an issue with integrating the Toon Character asset I've purchased.
So, I suppose my question is something along the lines of: is there an easier way to have my character animate from idle to moving while still using the FPSInput and keep him on the ground at the same time?
