How would I go around making a gravity gun type system in 2D?
Hello, I am not very experienced with Unity and I am trying to make a platformer that revolves around a ghost. For the combat, I have the idea of the player playing as the ghost, being able to posses objects and maybe enemies they have defeated if I learn how to do that as well. For the possessing objects part, I would want to add someone similar to the gravity gun from Half-Life, with a ghostly trail leading to the object with a ghostly aura surrounding it when possessed. There are many tutorials on how to make a gravity gun in 3D, but I was wondering how I would go about doing it in 2D. I want the player to be able to pick up certain objects and move them with their mouse cursor, then be able to throw them at enemies with either the click of a button or with a swiping motion, I know this is a lot to ask but I really don't have much of a clue how to go around doing something like this. Any help is very appreciated, and thanks for reading.
