Help with colliders on concave shapes with rigid bodies
Hey all, first time posting here, and I'd appreciate any help or suggestion no matter how big or small! I've been messing around with Unity the past few weeks and been reading up on documentation and messing around with physics and colliders. I understand that Unity can not use concave collision boxes on objects that possess rigid bodies, which usually doesn't provide too much trouble, but in my small project, the terrain moves and possesses rigid bodies. When I make the shape using a convex collider (as seen below), one can see the bounding box gets messed up. Is there any quicker/easier way to get this shape working with concave colliders without splitting it by hand into a bunch of little shapes? I need a ball to interact accurately rolling across this terrain. Thanks again for any help and taking the time to look at this! Happy to provide any clarification as necessary.
(I understand I could build 'buds' off the main mass with the create new poly tool on the surface, but wasn't sure if there was a more efficient methodology!)
You can just fake the movement. Increment the velocity of everything else in a direction, and it will feel like the terrain is moving in the other direction.
If it's 2d, you have a lot more options, with composite and polygon colliders.
