Sprites Leaving Trails Glitch?

Hi! I'm working on a 2D platformer with 2D sprites. I'm experiencing a weird issue causing the sprites to leave weird trails as my character moves around (see picture). It only happens when my player reaches the map limits (left, right, top, bottom). I can't see why this only happens on the scene limits as my background consists of a copy-pasted sequence of a single sprite. My problem occurs in play mode and remains after the game has been built. Would anyone know how to fix this?
