Implimenting RagDoll physics with Spine Skeleton?
I am using Esoteric Spine to animate the 2d characters in our game which are then imported into Unity. I've posted on the Spine forums but haven't gotten much help there so I thought I would ask here. (Spines Website: http://esotericsoftware.com/)
Does anyone have an idea of how ragdoll death physics might be accomplished with a Spine Skeleton in Unity? The only thoughts I have is that I could attach box colliders to the skeletons feet, hands, etc when the character dies, and then I would have to manually use code to check how the box colliders are interacting with the terrain, and manually tell the spine skeleton how to then react. (This sounds very complicated, no idea where to start on this)
The only other idea I have is to create a very basic 3d model that is invisible (not rendered) that does its natural ragdoll, and then use its bone positioning to then position the bones of the spine skeleton.
Any thoughts, ideas or tips would be appreciated, thanks!
