Help on how to code crouching?

So I'm extremely new to coding (up until now I've just been copying down what tutorials say to put even though I have no clue what any of it really means) and that's worked fine, except now I wanna try to code my player to be able to crouch, but I can't seem to find any good tutorials on it. If anyone could help walk me through it or steer me in the direction of some handy dandy coding tutorials, I'd be greatly appreciative.
