More accurate collision detection
What do i do to make penetration NOT happen, or at least not be visual at all?
Ive tried physics materials, high framerates and changing max time allowed… I keep getting stuck on blocks when jumping :(
Got very limited access to the internet AT$$anonymous$$ which is why I've not been responding.
I looked at the last question but didn't really understand what was going on. Game development is really just smoke and mirrors, or if that isn't a term you know, it's how to fake the real world*.
Can you add images/YouTube vid to show what's happening.
That said I need better Internet access to really help you.
some physics model predict we're in a simulated universe so what is and isn't real is subjective! ;-)
@$$anonymous$$mmpies I can't demonstrate it… $$anonymous$$y computer is being weird and now i have to get a new computer since i can't look up how to fix it, but aside the point.
if there was 2 blocks in my sandbox game, and they are touching corners and at the same height, and i happen to look at the inner corner of the 2 blocks (where they meet) and walk into it, i just go through the blocks. also, if i jump while walking into a wall, i get stuck, or don't even jump at all.
i need to make a combination of physics materials for the player and the blocks i interact with. i tried everything in the book, NOTHING is working.
Well I can't give you a good answer at the moment as Iternet access is so limited. Infact without a better idea of the problem It's real difficult to suggest solutions.
hate leaving you with nothing but really got no decent access to the Internet.

You can add a collision box to your object and select the "Is trigger".
In your "player" object you need add a rigidibody and a collision box and after, write one script to him.
For example:
void OnTriggerEnter(Collider other)
{
if (other.gameObject.tag == "PickUpItem")
{
other.gameObject.SetActive(false);
}
}
