How do I add a "pointer" to my UI menu?
Hello everyone,
There may be a simple answer to this, but I haven't been able to find much about it from existing UI tutorials. I was wondering how to add a pointer that appears when certain UI buttons are selected, sort of like this hand.
I essentially just want the pointer to appear on my game's title screen. If it helps, I'm using 3 different canvases for my main menu scene, one for the actual title screen, one for the credits, and one for the level selection. Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.
Dalsia, did you ever find a way to do this? I would like to do the same thing for my menu, a la old JRPG stats menus. I would love to learn from your solution!
I don't remember the specifics, but I did manage to do this. I believe I created 3 pre-deter$$anonymous$$ed locations with game objects, and then moved the sprite among the locations via script. AFAI$$anonymous$$ there's no way to do this within the UI system, as I looked for a while for an answer even after doing it like this.

You can control cursor visibility in different scenes h states of the game. https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Cursor-visible.html
For customizing your cursor, see this thread. https://answers.unity.com/questions/364766/creating-a-custom-cursor.html
