onto a model without editing any of the material settings. Instead of what I expected, I got this:
Has anyone got a fix? Thanks!

It would appear that your model does not have a UV map. The UV map tells the graphics engine where pixel coordinates are supposed to be placed from textures. If you created the model yourself, go back into the 3D editor and generate a UV map for the model. If you did not create it, you can import the model into Blender, generate a UV map, and export it back to FBX. When a UV map does not exist on a model, it wraps the entire model in the first pixel of the texture. Which is what you are seeing.
