Attitude Indicator for flight control HUD
I am hoping someone can either point me in the right direction... regarding the setup of flight control HUD.
I'm looking for a tutorial on flight control indicators such as Setting up pitch, roll & yaw.. " Attitude" indicators for flight controls.
I'm doubtful that someone will be able to point you to a tutorial. Beyond that, in order for the list to be helpful, you'll need to provide more information.
Are you going to be using 2D (GUI for example) or 3D for the display of the information?
The code that is doing the turning might be helpful in figure out the best way to calculate the pitch, roll, yaw.
Find or make a visual of what you want your display to look like.
The answer is waiting approval by a moderator. I'm planning to create the HUD using NGUI.
I'm particularly looking to create the $$anonymous$$ch indicator. For example, if the vehicle's nose is pointing 20 degrees up, a horizontal line that's stationary has a vertical strip of numbers ranging from -90 to 90 degrees behind the line that moves up or down accordingly. I believe I require a camera that contains a depth mask & is focused on the horizontal line. So this should be fairly simple script. Get the rotation value of the vehicle & alter the transform of the numbered strip accordingly.
