2018 MacBook Pro Unity Performance
I have a 2018 MacBook Pro with the i9 and maxed out on everything.
I have been using Unity since version 2.
I am making a game. When I run it on my target device (Oculus Quest) it works great with high frame rates.
When I run it in the Unity editor it lags a lot. I am only getting about 5-10 FPS.
I also get poor performance while editing the game scene.
I am just wondering if this is normal or if there is something I can change in settings or on my mac to get better performance.
It seems like this laptop should perform a lot better.
Are you using the $$anonymous$$etal editor? have been experiencing same thing, and noticed that it has to do with retina resolution, when changing it to "Low Resolution Aspect Ratio" in the game tab, i notcied a huge FPS gain, also when not using it maximized there is a gain too, also anohter thing you can do is check which graphics card is Unity using, in the preferences.
