Understanding issues with blender and unity?
Ok so I use the newest version of blender. 2.63 i think it is, i also have unity 3.5, now in the past these two programs haven't played well together for me when it comes to animations. I know now that I can use blend files directly with unity and that has gotten my animations to work sorta. I also found unity prefers that you make different animation "actions" instead of breaking apart one animation if you use blend file. (it wouldnt work otherwise.)
Question is more of a validation of this issue, i have my character rigged and ready to animate, just wondering if the way to do it is to animate each animation as a seperate action

I've had good results using separate actions for each animation. Those get imported into Unity separately, and can be played as you expect (through animation.Play("actionName")).
