How can I use another drive(for example D: instead of default C:) to create and open projects with Unity Hub???
Before upgrading to Unity 2019/Unity Hub I was able to open Unity by Right Clicking and 'Running as Admin' in order to create and open projects on a secondary D: drive. With the inclusion of Unity Hub this is no longer viable since the admin privileges do not carry over when Hub attempts to open Unity 2019 and create or open the folder in the D: drive.
I have completely reset permissions for D: drive using (https://winaero.com/blog/reset-ntfs-permissions-windows-10/) and set all users to have 'full control' of D: drive yet I am still prompted to provide admin approval before manually creating a new folder on the drive. This is the underlying problem and I cannot fathom how this is normal for Windows 10, which it seems to be because there are a plethora of other topics about it when I search for it yet none of them have a solution.
I, of course, am using an admin account on my PC. I have tried having Unity and Unity Hub installed on both C: and D: drive and it doesn't work either way. I have confirmed that this is an issue with using Unity Hub by uninstalling Hub and manually 'Running As Admin' Unity 2019 to open a project on D: and create a project, however this is not a viable workaround because Unity 2019 does not have its own start screen gui like Unity 2017 did.
Ultimately I really need a way to have full control without needing admin support for any of my files and the fact that this is not an easily toggleable feature for Windows 10 is unacceptable. Especially so since my computer shipped with a 100 gig C: drive and a 930 gig D: drive, and the D: drive is not able to be re-partitioned.
What error do you get when opening a project on the D drive? I may be having something similar. It only happens on my work PC (home PC is fine) and I'm trying to work out the issue. When I open a project in my D drive I get the following errors:
$$anonymous$$icrosoft (R) Visual C# Compiler version 2.9.1.65535 (9d34608e)
Copyright (C) $$anonymous$$icrosoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
error CS2011: Error opening response file 'C:\Temp/UnityTempFile-f452cacae838d9b4c940401c33787d06'
warning CS2008: No source files specified.
error CS1562: Outputs without source must have the /out option specified
