How are trees and detail meshes placed on the terrain?
If I need a splatmap(RGBA) for terrain texture painting, how can I access terrain tree's splatmap(if exist) or how can I place them procedurally based on a cliff/flow map? There's no documentation at all... Please could someone of the UT answer me?

In the documentation, check out the TerrainData functions. There are functions to get and set the tree, texture, and detail data. Unfortunately, the documentation is extremely limited. Good luck :)
Unity is really a shit in terms of terrain documentation and the funny thing is that terrain is the base for creating every game -.-
I've got some code at home that does all this, let me see what I can scratch up.
