Upgrade to 2018.3.0b7 Profiler Error on Some Cameras.
I tried out the 2018.3 beta on a blank project, and everything seemed to work well.
After upgrading our (large) game project I found that some cameras throw an error on tick that looks like Non matching Profiler.EndSample (BeginSample and EndSample count must match): SceneCamera
or sometimes EditorCamera
. Curiously, none of our cameras are named "SceneCamera".
This error does not have a stack trace.
None of our cameras are calling Profiler.EndSample(), nor are any other scripts in the scene. This leads me to think it is a bug in the beta.
Not all cameras exhibit this behavior, but I cannot find any pattern in which ones have it.
I'm looking for anyone who has upgraded a project successfully to weigh in, or anyone who ran into this same issue.
it's none of your cameras. it's the editor ones you don't have direct access to. upgrading projects is always a thing. make sure you read the upgrade guides or guide from your version up to the current one.
in my experience, expected formats in ProjectSettings files, missing in old project ones can cause this. several times I had to delete them and let unity generate a new bunch.
