UI Canvas to RenderTexture and to main screen at same time.
I am using UI for an in game node editor(node Canvas). I would like to put a minimap like image of the node Canvas in an image show it in a corner on different Canvas ( no image recursion). So I want to render the node Canvas to screen and render it to an image. I am currently rendering the the node Canvas as screen overlay. I can not see anyway to get it to render to camera also, so I can render to texture. Any suggestions?
The only way I can see to do it, is to make a separate slave canvas that synchronizes itself to node canvas and then show the slave canvas in a corner, either using a render texture or just putting the canvas in the corner. I think this will work but I am hoping there is a simpler way than writing an efficient canvas synchronizer.
