Particle emitting in non-random shape
Hi there!
I am trying to emit particles from the base of my object outwards. I would like to do this non-random. As seen below, the particles are emitted randomly.
However, I would like to emit 8 particles each in a different direction. One particle goes north, one goes north-east, one goes east, et cetera, like this.
.
I currently use the Cone shape, with an angle of 90. I have tried creating a custom octogonal mesh, but the particles still emit at a random direction and sometimes they even emit inwards instead of outwards.
Is it possible to emit particles in a fixed directions, and if yes: how?
While we're at it, is it possible to get the parent from a subEmitter. As in: I want to get the particle that emits the trail. Right now, I can only get a large list of all sub emitters, but I can't tie them to a parent particle.
I would like to color the trail similar to the color of the parent particle. As you see right now, the trail is white while the parent particle slowly changes from white to gray, dependings on it's lifetime.
