Unity ignoring ALL input
Last night, my project worked perfectly fine, and when I built it. it still worked. This morning, NO input at all was being registered in editor or in build. GUI won't work, and in game buttons wont work. I even confirmed it wasnt a script issue by moving my scripts to an entirely new project, and they worked there. I also tried making a new script with
if (Input.GetKey(KeyCode.Space))
{
Debug.Log("a key was pressed");
}`
in the update function. Nothing at all. I didn't change any settings at all, I just went to bed and woke up to it being broken. I have no clue how to fix or even troubleshoot this any further, and cannot for the life of me figure out what I may have accidentally changed. Any help at all whatsoever would be appreciated, as this has (obviously) halted my project in it's entirety. Just some extra info, I upgraded my scripts from using Input.GetKey to using the input manager, which worked fine last night (even reverted it back to its original state, still nothing. And the input manager worked in the separate project). I really don't want to have to move all of my assets to a new project and re assign everything in the inspector. Please help.
make a bachup of your project.
unistall and reinstall unity, and make the
if (Input.Get$$anonymous$$ey($$anonymous$$eyCode.Space)) { Debug.Log("a key was pressed"); }`
test again
