How to use GetComponent in Non-Monobehaviour script?

Ok so i have a sprint script that IS monobehaviour. The problem is, im using Unity's default movement script and i cant change it to Monobehaviour or it wont work. Here is my stamina script.

 using System.Collections;
 using System.Collections.Generic;
 using UnityEngine;
 using UnityStandardAssets.Characters.FirstPerson;

 public class PlayerStamina : MonoBehaviour
 {

     public int max_Stamina = 100;
     public float cur_Stamina = 0f;
     public GameObject staminaBar;

     void Start()
     {
         StartCoroutine(Wait());
         cur_Stamina = max_Stamina;
         staminaBar.SetActive(false);
     }

     private void Update()
     {
         if ( >= 0) // Somehow use Get Component to get stamina from Movement script
         {
             Debug.Log("Test, No Stamina");
         }
         float calc_Health = cur_Stamina / max_Stamina;
         SetHealthBar(calc_Health);
         if (cur_Stamina >= max_Stamina)
         {
             cur_Stamina = 100;
         }

         if (Input.GetKeyDown(KeyCode.LeftShift))
         {
             staminaBar.SetActive(true);
         }
         if (Input.GetKeyUp(KeyCode.LeftShift))
         {
             StartCoroutine(Return());
         }
     }

     private void LateUpdate()
     {
     }

     void SetHealthBar(float myHealth)
     {
         staminaBar.transform.localScale = new Vector3(myHealth, staminaBar.transform.localScale.y, staminaBar.transform.localScale.z);
     }

     IEnumerator Wait()
     {
         yield return new WaitForSeconds(5);
         cur_Stamina += 5;
         StartCoroutine(Wait());
     }

     public void TakeStamina(int depletion)
     {
         cur_Stamina -= depletion;
     }

     IEnumerator Return()
     {
         yield return new WaitForSeconds(1.5f);
         staminaBar.SetActive(false);
     }
 }

Unity's script:

 using System;
 using UnityEngine;
 using UnityStandardAssets.CrossPlatformInput;
 using UnityStandardAssets.Characters.FirstPerson;

At line 90 in the fps controller script you have a reference to the movement class. That's all you need.

  if (GetComponent<RigidbodyFirstPersonController>().movementSettings.stamina <= 0)

To sum it up, Im needing to basically do this:

 if (GetComponent<RigidbodyFirstPersonController.MovementSettings.().stamina <= 0)

but thats where the problem starts. It gives me an error, saying that it need to derrive from monobehaviour.

This is the part in RigidBodyFirstPersonController i need to modify

 [HideInInspector] public float stamina = 100f;

but i cannot do this. I need help, thanks!
