How much prior knowledge do I need to have before I can start creating games? Do I need to learn a programming language? If so, how fluently? If I have never made a game before, is Unity right for me?
If you want to make games without knowing program$$anonymous$$g, start with Game$$anonymous$$aker. Even there, for more sophisticated stuff, you'll still have to learn to code. You should at least learn the correct syntax (the 'grammar' of the language) and some basics of how programs fit together before you'll be able to implement any real gameplay as such, but if you have that, Unity is quite easy to learn and surprisingly powerful.
