audioSource.Play causes a 2 seconds hang
I'm trying to run an audio clip when clicking a button. I am using Unity 2019.3.11f and a Quest Headset with a Link cable.
I have a clip file that I load and is set to loadType = compressed in memory
(I tried other options too) and I checked Preload Audio Data
.
I play the audio clip by running audioSource.Play();
The scene hangs for 1-2 seconds, then continues, the sound is played as expected. It is almost as if Unity is ignoring the request to preload the data. When I re-play the same clip the hang repeats.
I also tried PlayOneShot
but got the same experience, I also tried different wav files, same.
