How many audio channels and simultaneous video textures can be played in sync simultaneously?
Hi guys,
Simply put, we are developing a game where the user becomes a maestro and decides which artist plays his instrument when in a song he chose. He can select up to 5 artists for its virtual quintet.
The system is hooked up to a 5+1 displays system: 5 HD TV, one for each voice in the quintet and the 6th is tactile and displays the bank of artist available for a specific song.
Each screen will play a 1080 x 1920 video (portrait orientation) each having a 5.1 audio track (24 bits 48 kHz).
In summary: 5 HD videos (portrait) 5 tracks in 5.1 audio 24 bits 48 kHz All playable in perfect sync at the same time
The question is: Can and Will Unity manage 5 * 5 channels (25) while playing 5 HD videos simultaneously?
Subquestion: is this project overly optimistic?
