Why is there no Vector3Int.forward and back?
Vector3 has statitc properties as shorthands for normalized vectors in all directions but Vector3Int is missing forward
and back
(also negativeInfinity
and positiveInfinity
). Is there any reason for this?
negativeInfinity
and positiveInfinity
is also missing from Vector2Int
Had the same question today and only found your question regarding this. Really weird. @Eric5h5 some thoughts?
I think V2 and V3 were added at the same time. $$anonymous$$y guess would be that V2 was done first, which has no forward/back (no z), and V3 copied it, forgetting to add them. Since both were added so late, and aren't all that important, they probably weren't paying as much attention.

Ints don't have infinity like floats do. They have a min or max. This is what came up in google for "Vector3Int forward", so I can't help you with that
