Brackeys's Making a Video Game going mobile and collision issue
Hola to all!
David here, total n00b to game development, though I took programming classes eons ago, I still got the touch and I'm more into networking and I'm also a networking certifications instructor, so programming is not my main topic.
Enough rambling, so my issue is, I want to develop/change the cube game into a simple level collection where players avoid collisions and get the certification diploma at the end, that part is pretty much functional but as my subject said, I want to make it touch but after checking the 2D shooter tutorial --well the touch section it doesn't -- I mean I can't make it fit into the cube game, that's part one of the problem.
Part two, is that I started playing with lighting and baked lighting (I'm no designer, or expert at all), but I moved the dials and knobs, collisions disrupted. How? well whenever my sphere (player) collides with an obstacle many times it passes through them -- I already fixed the collision to continuous –
So, I'm looking for advice from you guys, so to wrap up.
Looking for the best way to make my app cross-platform (windows/macOS already work), I do ant touch controls.
Fixing the collision passthrough collider issue.
Again, this by no means is going to be a career change or the start of TikAcademy Game Studios, in the end this will just try to promote my academy and maybe collect contact info of interested people.
